This high praise was shared by Ms Izabela Sulek – Partnerships and Collaboration Manager at the Faculty of Health, Deakin University – during a quick interview on the sidelines of a recent Taster Class (Demo Class) event hosted at Scotch AGS.

Ms Sulek noted that because Scotch AGS pupils follow an Australian curriculum, they enjoy significant advantages when applying to Australian universities. The curriculum is fully recognized by higher education institutions across Australia.

Furthermore, the subject combinations studied at school provide a solid foundation for degree-level studies. For instance, pupils enrolled in science subjects at Scotch AGS hold a distinct advantage when pursuing science-related degrees at Deakin University, where most programs demand strong proficiency in mathematics and physics.

Similarly, for pupils aiming for degrees in nursing, psychology, or nutritional science, the foundational knowledge gained from secondary-level biology and chemistry at Scotch AGS serves as an essential stepping stone for university success in Australia.

Regardless of the chosen academic path, Ms Izabela Sulek emphasized that pupils intending to study abroad should dedicate substantial time to raising their English proficiency. Entry requirements for most undergraduate programs in Australia range from IELTS 6.0 to 6.5, while specialized health science degrees may require IELTS 7.0.

Ms Izabela Sulek and her academic colleagues from Deakin University recently conducted taster classes at Scotch AGS, offering pupils an authentic experience of an Australian university lecture.
