The Australian ACE Program stands out for its diverse subjects, creating a personalized pathway tailored to each student’s aspirations. Globally recognized certificate - SACE

Students who complete the Australian ACE Curriculum at Nam Uc Scotch AGS receive an Australian certificate awarded by the SACE Board (under the Government of South Australia), equivalent to that of local students. This diploma is globally recognized for university admissions.

The ACE assessment

Assessment

The assessment process in the Australian ACE Curriculum is scientifically designed to ensure fairness, transparency, and a comprehensive evaluation of students’ abilities. 70% of the final score is based on continuous assessment throughout the program, while the remaining 30% comes from the final exam at the end of Year 12.

The ACE Journey at Nam Uc Scotch AGS

To graduate from the Australian ACE program, students must complete all the required subjects during their high school across two main stages: Stage 1 (Years 10-11) and Stage 2 (Year 12).

Stage 1 (Years 10 – 11)

Starting in Year 10, students build foundational knowledge and skills in preparation for the ACE program by selecting subjects, understanding learning methods, and meeting the academic requirements of the program.

Years 10-11: Students engage in the core subjects: English, Mathematics, Research Project, Research Practices, Vietnamese Background Speakers

Besides, they also explore elective subjects across four key fields:

  • Engineering: Physics, Digital Technology, Advanced Mathematics
  • Medicine: Chemistry, Biology
  • Business: Economics, Accounting, Business Innovation
  • Arts: Design Arts, Visual Arts

Stage 2 (Year 12)

In Year 12, students continue with compulsory subjects and deepen their knowledge of the elective subjects from the four fields studied in stage 1. They will take 3 compulsory subjects and choose 2 elective subjects to prepare for university admissions, with the results of 5 subjects being converted to an ATAR ranking.

  • Compulsory subjects: English, Mathematics, Research Project (already studied in Phase 1)
  • Elective subjects: Choose 2 from subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Digital Technology, Advanced Mathematics, economics, Accounting.

Uni-pathway activities for study abroad preparation

  • Study abroad and career workshops: Career and study abroad programs for high school students help them explore their strengths and make it easy to make university course decisions.
  • Soft skills classes: Experiential classes from various prestigious universities with skill workshops led by school teachers help students strengthen their skills and complete their study abroad applications.
  • World experiences at international universities: University campus tours through Global Adventure and the Talent Connect competition provide opportunities for students to gather experiences and learn how to adapt effectively before studying abroad.

The ACE Curriculum Scholarship

In the 2025-2026 school year, Nam Uc Scotch AGS offers up to 45% of the ACE Curriculum scholarships to new year 10-11 students with outstanding academic achievements. Scholarships are considered during the registration and application process.

Round 1: Early round – Before 31/01/2025

For students enrolling in years 6 to 11 who meet scholarship criteria, a scholarship of 45% will be granted.

Round 2: Regular round – From 01/02/2025 to 30/04/2025

For students enrolling in years 6 to 11 who meet scholarship criteria, a scholarship of 40% will be granted.

Round 3: Rolling round – From 01/05/2025 to 30/06/2025

For students enrolling in years 6 to 11 who meet scholarship criteria, a scholarship of 35% will be granted.

  • For new students enrolling in Grades 6 to 8, this policy is effective until the completion of Grade 9.
  • For new students enrolling in Grades 9 to 11, this policy is effective until the completion of Grade 12.

In the 2025-2026 academic year, Nam Uc Scotch AGS offers several special financial aid programs, providing support of up to 50% of tuition fees for new students enrolling in years 6-11.

FAQs about The ACE Curriculum

The ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admission Rank) is a ranking used to assess and compare the academic performance of students across Australia when applying for universities and other higher education institutions. The ATAR is calculated based on the results of high school subjects and reflects a student’s relative ranking compared to their peers nationwide.

The ATAR scale ranges from 0.00 to 99.95. The ATAR score required to receive scholarships from major Australian universities can vary depending on the university and the specific scholarship. Generally, an ATAR of 90 or above may qualify for a scholarship. If students want to apply for scholarships from top global universities or full scholarships, an ATAR score may need to be 95, 98, or even 99 or higher. Some scholarships also consider other factors, such as extracurricular activities, personal achievements, or essays submitted with the application.
