Developing skills for studying abroad
At Nam Uc Scotch AGS, students are equipped with essential skills to adapt to and succeed in international learning environments. Through extracurricular activities, academic, artistic, and sports clubs, as well as community projects, students develop key competencies such as communication, critical thinking, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving.
In parallel, the school regularly organizes specialized workshops and university preparation programs focused on essential skills for future academic journeys, such as essay writing, scholarship interviews, and understanding the university admissions process. These initiatives help students build a clear roadmap and approach their university goals with greater confidence.
The South Australian Certificate of Education – SACE
All SACE students, whether studying in Australia or internationally, follow the same curriculum, complete the same assessments and examinations, and receive the same official certification. They are also eligible to receive the Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR).
Upon completing the SACE at Nam Uc Scotch AGS, students are awarded the following three official documents:
- South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE): Issued by the SACE Board, this certificate confirms that the student has fulfilled all program requirements and successfully completed their senior secondary education.
- Record of Achievement: Also issued by the SACE Board, this transcript provides detailed subject results, graded from A+ (highest) to E− (lowest). All students who complete at least one subject receive this academic record, regardless of whether they finish the SACE.
- Tertiary Entrance Statement: Issued by the South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC), this document includes the student’s Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR), which is used for university entry across Australia.
