Scotch College, an international school of excellence, has been established in Vietnam for talented young Vietnamese students. Nam Uc Scotch AGS is a brand of Scotch College, an Australian school with over 100 years of history in learning and development. In 2025 – 2026, Nam Uc Scotch AGS enrolls students from grades 1 to 11.
Admission requirements
Admission requirements for Grades 1 and 2
- Students are required to participate in the trial session at Nam Uc Scotch AGS and attend 1:1 interviews with the English teacher, Vietnamese teacher, and the Personal Capability Test. The trial session is held every Tuesday from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
- The experiential session provides an opportunity for families and young students to familiarize themselves with the international learning environment and educational culture of the school. It also allows the school to understand the parents’ aspirations, as well as the personality, interests, and strengths of each student. Parents are asked to respond to questions in the admission survey, including information about the child’s strengths, interests, academic history, and any special support needs in academics, communication skills, extracurricular activities, and psychological aspects (if applicable).
NOTE: The special education center will issue a conditional offer letter to students who have participated in a 1:1 interview with both the English and Vietnamese teachers but have not yet completed the interview. The student will need to attend Personal Capability Test to meet the admission conditions before July 15, 2025.
Admission requirements for Grades 3, 4, and 5
- Students need to participate in an experiential session at Nam Uc Scotch AGS and take an entrance assessment test.
Admission requirements for Grades 6-11
- The CAT4 (Cognitive Abilities Test Fourth Edition) is designed to assess and understand students’ learning capabilities and academic potential. The CAT4 exam consists of four main sections: Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, Non-verbal Reasoning, and Spatial Reasoning.

Eligible applicants: Students born in 2010 (or 2009, 2011) who are expected to complete or have already completed Grade 9 by June 2025 and meet the following academic requirements:
- CAT4 (Cognitive Abilities Test Fourth Edition): This test assesses students’ learning potential and academic aptitude. It includes four key components: Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, Non-verbal Reasoning, and Spatial Reasoning.
- The IELTS score required for admission and scholarship consideration must be IELTS Academic. Students can also submit equivalent international English proficiency certificates such as PTE, TOEFL iBT, etc.
